Introduction to AI Testing: Guide to ISTQB® CT-AI Certification

Iosif Itkin
CEO & Co-Founder, Exactpro
The integration of AI into software systems brings new opportunities but also significant challenges – from ensuring reliability and accuracy to addressing ethical concerns. This transformation affects software testers, developers, and quality assurance professionals, who must adapt their skills to work with AI-enabled testing tools and understand the testing processes surrounding AI systems.
On 9 September, in his talk titled "Introduction to AI Testing: Guide to ISTQB® CT-AI Certification", Iosif Itkin will explore the challenges enterprises face when adopting AI, discuss how and when to introduce it within an organisation and share strategies for training teams to embrace the change. The title of the talk is eponymous to Exactpro’s new book coming out this September. Iosif’s talk will also highlight how the book can be leveraged as a practical resource to boost understanding of AI-enabled technologies and encourage further enterprise-grade application of AI, in testing and beyond. Created by the Exactpro team and co-authored by Iosif Itkin, the book is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Testing the Untestable: Metamorphic Testing for Complex and Non-Deterministic Systems

How do you test a system when you don’t know what the correct expected behaviour should be? In domains like AI, distributed computing, and financial analytics, uncertainty and non-determinism make traditional test oracles ineffective or unavailable. This talk introduces metamorphic testing as a powerful strategy for validating such systems – by focusing not on expected results, but on expected relationships between inputs and outputs.
On 9 September, Merium Hazem Anwar Labib Bishara and Merihan Hazem Anwar Labib Bishara, Middle Software Testers, Exactpro, will explore how digital twins – simulated models of real systems – can act as practical oracles, helping define and verify consistency properties even in the absence of ground truth. Through real-world examples, you'll see how metamorphic testing combined with digital twins can help detect hidden defects, tame non-determinism, and expand what's testable across the development lifecycle.
September 8th will be fully dedicated to interactive, hands-on workshops that combine innovation with practical strategy. Open to testers of all levels – from juniors to team leads – the program will cover a range of topics, including:
- "The 10 Commandments of AI" – Artificial Intelligence ethics and responsibility
- Modern approaches to Performance Testing – Scaling and optimization
- Test Automation Workflows with Cursor – Modern Development Tools
Additionally, the event will feature the annual QA market research providing insights into recent developments and future prospects for the Georgian market.
