Q: What did competing in this year's Swift Hackathon mean to the Exactpro team?
A: Taking part in this year’s Swift Hackathon has been a great opportunity for our team to engage with some of the most pressing challenges in digital finance and contribute to the industry response using our expertise at the intersection of traditional and digital finance.
Events like this place participants in a 'hyper-focus' state to concentrate on a concrete problem in a highly compressed time frame. It's not for the faint of heart. The payoff, however, has been a chance to showcase our team's extensive background – and the ways we approach innovation in helping shape cutting-edge financial technology – to the Swift community.
Q: What is the digital payments challenge the industry is facing, and how did SWIFT address it through this year’s Hackathon?
A: This year, by focusing on relevant use cases, especially ones involving ISO 20022 adoption and cross-network transactions, participants were challenged to develop practical solutions that bridge digital and traditional payment systems in a secure, scalable, and future-ready manner – helping to build a more integrated and resilient financial ecosystem.
Q: Why is Exactpro particularly well-positioned to contribute to this industry challenge?
A: Exactpro brings deep expertise in testing and developing complex financial systems – including regulatory-grade DLT solutions, as of 2018. Our participation in the Swift Hackathon reflects a continued commitment to innovation and contributing to the industry's efforts to enable secure, interoperable digital payment infrastructures.
Q: Which Hackathon challenge did Exactpro compete in?
A: We submitted proposals in both the Business and Technical challenges, with prototype solutions that leverage ISO 20022 to enable seamless integration between digital asset platforms and the existing banking infrastructure.
We are very happy with being awarded an honorable mention in the Technical Challenge and are thankful to APIX and Swift for their consideration and high praise of our entry. In our solution, Coincento, we focused on improving data transparency and traceability, streamlining reporting and reconciliation processes, and enabling regulatory alignment, while requiring minimal modifications to legacy systems.
Q: How do these proposals reflect Exactpro’s core expertise?
A: The challenges we are addressing through the Hackathon strongly align with Exactpo’s core expertise in both testing and development of complex financial systems. We bring extensive proficiency in testing and integration of ISO 20022-based financial infrastructures.
Our AI Testing approach is customised for the financial sector and works across the entire spectrum of use cases spanning payments (including CBPR+), settlement, and fund management, among others. We’ve also contributed to the development of advanced DLT-based solutions supporting the evolution of financial infrastructures.
Leveraging this experience, our Swift Hackathon 2025 proposals have focused on solving real challenges to improve transparency, cross-network interoperability, and processing efficiency across digital finance, all while aligning with regulatory requirements.
